Euclid Machining company History

History

The Euclid Machine company founded in 1947 for the purpose of manufacturing precision machined components, tool and die fixtures, and other associated products for the aircraft industry. In March of 1986 the current owners purchased the company and moved the plant to a larger 16,000 square foot machining facility the following November. The original Euclid Machine company name was retained, but the business was now identified as a division of Thomas/Euclid Industries, Incorporated. This new facility was of modern construction with 20 foot ceilings and a HEPA air filtration system. The fully air-conditioned manufacturing, inspection, and office areas served to compliment Thomas/Euclid's commitment to high quality precision machining and a clean and safe working environment.

The early years in the new facility were devoted to updating, new equipment purchases and the development of a knowledgable and skilled work force. By the mid-90's, the machinest work force had grown to a total of 35 highly skilled employees, with the support of a diverse managment team. During this period, the company continued to build prosperity based upon an established reputation associated with the high quality machining of aerospace, ordance, and other related commercial components.

In the year 1998, it became very apparent that production demands of the company had exceeded the limits of the existing floor space; plans to increase the size of the plan to approximately 35,000 square feet were initiated at that time. Construction of the building addition began in the spring of 1999. New machines were in place and functioning in the new facility by October of 1999. The work force has steadily increased in number to a total of 66 employees, and business growth resulted in the purchase of a second company in January 2001. This company, Indy Machine, provided a second established customer base that served to further the growth of potential for Thomas/Euclid Industries.

The success of Thomas/Euclid Industries, is based upon a customer-focused commitment to product satisfaction and the highest standards of quality and service.
